Questions roofers ask
Everything about All Roof Pricer in plain words: how it measures, how it lays roofing, how it prices, and what a plan costs. Not here? Ask us.
What it is
What is All Roof Pricer?
All Roof Pricer is roof drafting and estimating software for roofing contractors, made by RooferJoe.io. You draw or trace the roof in plan view, the engine builds every facet, you lay the roofing on it, and it prices the job with your own catalog, labor rates and markups. It runs in the browser and prints the proposal, the install ticket and a PDF roof plan.
Who is it for?
Roofing contractors who estimate their own jobs: shingle, metal, tile and flat-roof companies, and metal shops that need a panel cut list. It is a roofer's drawing tool that works in squares and feet and inches, not a general CAD program.
Is it only for metal roofs?
No. It lays shingles, stone coated, metal panels, tile, shake, slate, TPO/PVC, EPDM and peel-and-stick, each at the real sizes you sell. Metal jobs also get the panel runout cut list and a CSV for the machine.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. Sign in and draw. There is nothing to download and nothing to update.
Does it replace an aerial measurement report?
For most jobs, yes. You trace the roof off a satellite view, a blueprint scan or a PDF plan, set the scale from one known length, and the program measures every line and facet. If you already have an EagleView report, you can import its file and the roof is built from it.
Drawing and measuring
How does it measure a roof from an aerial photo?
Drop in the aerial picture, pick one line you know the length of and type it to set the scale, then trace the outline. Mark which edges are eaves and rakes and type the pitch, and the engine finds every hip, ridge and valley. Lengths are true to the slope, read in feet and inches, and every facet shows its square footage.
Can it build the roof for me from the outline?
Yes. Draw the outline, mark the edges, set the pitch and press Build Roof. Four geometry engines solve hips, gables, Dutch and popped gables, mixed pitches with their true bastard hips, step-downs, pop-tops, gable fronts and clerestory walls.
What about roofs the builder cannot guess?
Trace each slope as its own facet. The program keeps the slopes honest: every eave runs level, shared lines stay glued, and a facet that does not fit turns red and names the line that disagrees, so a traced roof measures like a built one.
Does it do dormers?
Yes. Gable, hip and shed dormers are real facets. Pick the type, set the pitch, draw it where it sits, and move or resize it by typing its distances. The dormer cuts into the roof below, takes its own panels and adds its own headwall and sidewall flashing to the takeoff.
Which roof lines does it count?
Twelve: ridge, hip, valley, eave, rake, headwall, sidewall, step, step-up, transition, clerestory and back pan. Each one is a line on the takeoff, the price and the crew ticket.
Can I enter tape measurements?
Yes. There is a place to type the measured length of any line, and the verified numbers feed the takeoff, the panel lists and the PDF. A tape tool measures dormers and skylights on the drawing, true to pitch.
Can I import an EagleView report?
Yes. The EagleView button takes the report's XML or JSON file. Every face becomes a facet with its lines marked, its pitch and its exact plane, and the import checks its own totals against the report's summary.
Roofing and the cut list
How does it figure waste?
It does not guess a waste percentage. It lays every course or panel across every facet at the real sizes you sell, respecting stagger and minimum length, and counts the actual pieces. Squares to buy come from the real cuts.
What does a metal shop get?
Every panel's cut length labeled on the drawing, a panel list by facet on the PDF, and a runout list for the panel machine: every panel shortest to longest with counts and lineal feet. Download it as a CSV with the section, quantity, feet and decimal inches columns a cut list generator reads.
Can I add length to every panel or add spares?
Yes. Add inches to all panels in one place and it reaches the list, the CSV, the PDF and the priced lineal feet, dated so you can see what was added. Add spare panels at any length and they go at the end of every list.
Can one job have two kinds of roofing?
Yes. Shingles on the house and metal on the porch, each roof on its own tab. The pricer pools the roofs that wear the same type, prices each type on its own sheet, and totals them on a project summary.
Pricing the job
Where do the prices come from?
From you. Every material, labor rate, markup, fee and fastener is set by the company and lives on your account. The program ships with starter prices only to get you close.
How is the price to the customer figured?
Material at your markup, plus labor at your markup, plus warranty, plus commission, plus tax, plus pass-through costs like dump, permit and delivery. Every line is shown; nothing is a black box.
Does it count fasteners?
Yes, by the bag. Tell it screws every 12 inches of panel run or 320 nails per square, and it counts the pieces for the whole job and rounds up once to whole bags. The install ticket lists the bags and the piece count for the crew.
Does it handle steep roofs?
Yes. Tear-off and install extras by pitch, figured on each facet's own pitch, so a mixed roof pays only for its steep squares.
Can my sales team price jobs without seeing costs?
Yes. The sales page shows the price and the commission without the cost detail. Your sales team signs in to the same account with your products, prices and logo already in place.
Will an old estimate reprice the same next year?
Yes. Every saved job keeps a copy of the prices it was bid with, so it reprices to the penny, or you can reprice it with today's costs in one click.
Plans and billing
How much does it cost?
Monthly plans per company start at $99, and every plan includes the whole program. The only difference between plans is how many reports you can run in a month. A self-hosted standalone copy is also available at a one-time price.
Is it per seat?
Per company. Your whole office works under one account and one monthly report count.
What counts as a report?
One priced roof. Draw it, lay it, price it, print it. Reopen and revise it as often as you like at no charge.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new account gets 7 days free and the first report free with a watermark. No card is needed to start.
Where are my reports?
On your account, from any computer, for 60 days. Save the PDF and the job file to keep them longer.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from your billing page, through Stripe. You keep access to the end of the month you paid for.
Can you help me set it up?
Yes. ExitSaaS Automation loads your catalog, prices, logo and fees for you. That setup is quoted and billed separately.
